ROPE WAY

The Rope Way is proposed Parallel to the Marine drive Walk Way above the Back Water Strip. The 1.5 km stretch Rope way will have its Drive station at Marine Drive GCDA shopping complex and the return station will be at the North End of the CMDS project area.

It will be running parallel to the walkway above pillars erected at 200-300 m intervals in backwaters.  There will be cable car parking facilities provided at the start drive and end drive points. 

This project is also proposed to be taken up on PPP mode. The Project Development partner will have to Built, Operate and Maintain the facility for a minimum period of 25 years and pay to GCDA a minimum annuity sum of 30 % of their revenue. The development partner will be identified through competitive bidding.
